| Artist: Carla Graham Based on a closeup view of my daughter's eye. As a toddler, she adopted the personality of her favorite children's television character, Dora the Explorer. I knew the outward persona was not her, but no one else did. As her confidence grew, so was her willingness to let a few others see the real her - the one with Asperger's Syndrome. The label simply defines behaviors and neurological differences. It does not define or constrict the talents that lay hidden inside. My hope is that one day, people will see not only my daughter, but all autistics, for the wonderful people they are.
